A lot of trouble to get some decent coffee but after 20+ years of making espresso in the morning, it's too late to stop now. This lets me get some coffee at a decent coffee joint and then eat where the food is good but the coffee is ???
Tha flask was purchased in 1981 at the beginning of a 3.5 month, 16,281 mile trip through the US and Canada. The flask is an antique from the 20's and I made the trip on my "antique" 1975 Norton Interstate. Many a morning would have been spent staying in the tent if I didn't have Mr. Jack to kick start me.
I had a pocket added to my custom leather jacket for the flask. I have a new jacket on order with Langlitz and will again have a pocket made for the flask.
As for the Norton, I cracked one Amal slide in Tennesee (about 13,000 into the trip) and got a replacement at a Triumph shop the next morning. Other than that it ran like a top, (18 months of me prepping the bike made the difference).
The Barpack has a small map pocket on top.
